Camp Goals
Camp Goals - The Dawn Staley Basketball Academy's goal is to build a solid basketball foundation for each player that attends camp. We will break down the fundamentals of the game and instill core techniques and strategy. There will be a small camper to coach ratio which provides extremely individualized attention.
In addition to our individual focus, our Team Camp offers teams the chance to hone their communication and abilities to make the whole team stronger.
Payment Policy
All deposits are non-refundable
•All balances must be paid
•Once your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation packet with details about the specific camp(s) for which you registered (via mail or email)
•Each camper will receive a Gamecock Gift bag
•Snacks, drinks and South Carolina Gear will be available for purchase at the camp store
•If paying by check, make payable to S5,LLC
•A fee of $15 for all returned check
Playing Facilities
The Dawn Staley Basketball Academy is authorized by and held at the University of South Carolina, in the Practice Facility near Colonial Life Arena. Campers will train and receive instruction on regulation college courts and training facilities.

Insurance
Dawn Staley Basketball Academy cannot assume responsibility for medical, dental or other health expenses incurred as a result of the camper's participation at camp, but Dawn Staley Basketball Academy does provide secondary accidental insurance as a result from play. There will be a trainer on call during all sessions of camp.
Camp Store
A camp store featuring University of South Carolina Gamecock souvenirs and apparel such as shorts, T-shirts, caps, etc., will be open at the CONCLUSION of camp.
Check-in/Check-Out
Check-in will take place at the Practice Facility on the first day of camp. Check-in and check-out times will be included in the confirmation letter you will receive.
Camp Food
Campers will need to bring a bag lunch each day for Little Gamecock and Individual Day Camp.
Note: This is a Nut-free camp. Please do not bring any products containing nuts.
Snacks and drinks can be purchased throughout the day at the Practice Facility.
Ages and Abilities
Dawn Staley Basketball Academy camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender. Most camps are for girls in grades 6-12. However, Little Gamecock Day Camp is open to girls AND boys in grades 1-5. We strive to divide our players according to similar ages and abilities.

Medical
Any camper who does not register online must have medical form and consent waiver form filled out before the camper attends the camp. The forms can be found on this website in the downloads panel. There will be a USC athletic trainer available 24 hours a day. If you have any medical needs or allergies you must let the staff know ahead of time.
NCAA Rules
NCAA rules prohibit payment of any camp expenses for prospective student-athletes by the University of South Carolina boosters.
NCAA rules also prohibit free or reduced camp fees for prospective student-athletes.
